KEVIN JOHNSTON - Host of The Healing Power of Music
The Healing Power of Music features Christian music and artists whose music has that special something that connects with listeners. Whether it's the lyrics, the melody or the story behind the song, Kevin hopes to help listeners find a new bond with the music that enables a deeper connection with Christ.
As far back as Kevin can remember music has been an integral part of his life. Playing a tennis racket as a guitar as a toddler Kevin was born full of music. He’s always played music in some form, whether it’s as a mobile DJ or as a musician. Beyond studying the history and interesting trivia about bands and artists, Kevin has always tried to share the joy of music with people in any way possible. That lead to his natural attraction to radio.
A transplant from California, Kevin worked at 101.7 KKIQ-FM after being honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force where he also worked on the base radio station as a member of the Armed Forces Radio Network. After moving to NC to be closer to family Kevin went to work for WZOO in Asheboro, NC where he hosted the afternoon slot playing Christian music..
