David hopes that ELEVATED! will not only praise God, but will also encourage, lift up and elevate the spirits of the listeners.
ELEVATED! is heard Tuesdays and Fridays at 1pm and 9pm Eastern.
David Frazier began his radio career at an early age – Ten years old. His cousin J. R. Snider was one of the original ‘Good Guys’ on WTOB Radio in Winston-Salem, NC. Listening to the radio David was fascinated when heard J.R.’s voice come out of radios in the house or car. David would make microphones from empty paper towel tubes and build his “studio” from old boxes, coffee cans and an old AM radio. He would listen to WTOB as well as the stations from Atlanta and New York that he could pick up on his AM radio after the sun went down and then imitate the DJs that intrigued him.
When he got the chance to help start a campus radio station at his high school in 1979 the wheels were set in motion. It didn’t matter that the station was a closed loop that only broadcast to certain classrooms; it was music which was David’s first love.
In the years following David worked as a mobile DJ, which eventually lead to an opportunity to do morning and afternoon traffic daily for 13 Triad NC radio stations. David could also be heard reporting mornings and afternoons for WGHP-TV (Fox8).
When he's not on-air, he works as a live sound engineer for Event Resource Group. David plays bass and sings in the praise band at Mt. Vernon UMC in Trinity, NC. He loves the connection to worship he feels through the music. David often says he "must be Gods most flawed creature".
His favorite scripture is Isaiah 41:10 -
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
